NEX-EA50H Firmware Upgrade
Sony has provided for the first firmware upgrade, is it what I wanted? Definitely not. First of all it’s for the Asia / Pacific region, it could be that dv recording was a much requested feature in that region but I like to record to the highest quality possible so I at least have a choice to deliver either SD or HD, shooting in a lower quality format eliminates the possibility to go back to HD permanently.
Second the fmu128 added functionality to trigger seperately, while I don’t doubt it’s a excellent piece of hardware, it costs 860 euro or 1130 dollar (tax included) in Belgium which I think is overpriced, I can get 128gb sdxc cards for under 200 euro…
I do hope Sony will give the possibility to scroll through the iso values with the small scroll wheel on the side of the camera like you can do with the shutter values, now that would be a upgrade.

Two REC buttons enables to control memory card and the optional HXR-FMU128 in a different trigger.
